This course covers the essential knowledge and skills typically learned in the first month on the job. You will learn: Call-taking skills. Call management. Emergency Services and Dispatch Terminology. Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) using AI callers. Overview of Police, Fire and EMS services and resources. Legal databases. Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Radio and Communications protocols. Preparation for pre-employment testing. This course aligns with established protocols used throughout North America. Upon completion, students will have the background knowledge to begin hands-on training. You will learn through a combination of printed material, AI interactions, video lectures and quizzes. You will also have access to a qualified mentor who is certified in all disciplines covered in this course. Certificate issued: Fundamentals of 911 Dispatching.
